The Department of Aqeedah and Intellectual Doctrines at Afro Asian University is dedicated to the study of Islamic theology, philosophy, and intellectual traditions. Through its curriculum, the department aims to provide students with a deep understanding of the fundamental beliefs of Islam, the historical development of Islamic thought, and the philosophical underpinnings of Islamic teachings. Students engage in rigorous academic inquiry, exploring topics such as Islamic creed (Aqeedah), Islamic philosophy, comparative religion, intellectual history, and contemporary issues in Islamic theology. The Department of Aqeedah and Intellectual Doctrines aims to achieve several learning outcomes for its students, including:
